There are certain technical requirements which need to be considered before using the eSquiggles data collection software. Below is a rough guide as to what your organisation will need in place prior to commencing with an eSquiggles project.
Mobile Device Information
A mobile device/PDA with Windows Mobile 6+ installed. Please note that smartphones are not compatible. Windows Mobile 6.x Classic or Professional Editions are supported.

Synchronisation Information
If you wish to synchronise with eSquiggles remotely then you will need a mobile data connection. Typical synchronisation methods include:
GPRS / 3G / HSPDA (mobile phone networks)
WiFi – if your mobile device supports this, then when in range of a WiFi signal you can synchronise
USB connection to your PC – this does not require any mobile or WiFi subscription.
eSquiggles Web Application
Internet access is required to log, track and report on jobs/workers/subcontractors, etc..

Document Production
The documents produced by eSquiggles are in Word format. In order to viewthese documents you will require Word 2003or later. There is a free Word Viewer component available from Microsoft which is suitable for this if you do not have Microsoft word.
