Jobs Summary
The field worker can download and list jobs which are incomplete, to gain an easy view list of the day's work ahead.
Drop Down Menu
The use of drop down lists with pre-defined answers makes data collection quick and easy.
Free Text
Data collected can't always be pre-defined and in some cases field workers will need the facility to type in some details. The onscreen keyboard can be used to complete free text boxes or type up more lengthy notes.
Signature Capture
Collect signatures electronically straight onto the PDA - these can then be automatically embedded into the final report or Word document.
Bill of Materials
Enter details on new materials to be purchased for a job and other data such as measurements. Materials and unit costs can be selected from a pre-defined list. The customer quote or 'bill of materials' is then automatically generated in the standard company format.
Voicenotes
Sometimes the additional detail to be captured is too lengthy to type onto the PDA and the best way of capturing it is via a voice recording facility. Similar to digital dictation, the field worker dictates into the PDA and the recording is automatically converted into a text file.
