Home Information Packs

The emerging Home Information Pack scheme is to be introduced by the ODPM to make the process of buying and selling property quicker, fairer and more transparent. A similar scheme is being proposed by the Scottish Executive to introduce the Purchasers Information Pack. The Home Condition report, which will be one of the key documents within the pack, will contain much more comprehensive information than is provided in current housing surveys. The need to provide a more detailed set of information will obviously have a direct impact on the length of time taken to complete the full survey process and the subsequent amount of paperwork to be processed.

Customer Self Service

Using eSquiggles will not only speed up the full survey process, but can provide easy access to the final documentation. Once a survey is completed on-site and sent back to the surveyors' office electronically, an email can be automatically generated, alerting the customer that the survey will be ready for download from the 'self service' part of the website.

Also, if your customers can currently book and pay for surveys on your website, there is potential to automatically allocate these bookings straight to your surveyors and their hand-held PC.
